The origin of Super Fencer started between the two of us on a fence job this last winter in our hometown of Mariposa. I sent a picture to Coleman of a section of fence that I thought turned out really nice, and he just had the sarcastic reply of “Look at you Super Fencer”. That is really how it began. We decided it was actually pretty catchy and the world is full of Super Fencer’s.
 

We are cousin’s that have been attached at the hip most of our lives. Our passion for the outdoors was ingrained in us from a young age. We grew up fishing, hunting, roping,  branding and most importantly building fence.  We are second-generation fence builders stemming from Coleman’s Dad. We started working for Coleman’s Dad at a young age and acquired all of our skills through building fence. These experiences have shaped who we are today and is part of the Super fencer lifestyle.

 

To this day building fence is our passion, not just a way to make a living. Truth is we actually have regular day jobs, but we love building fence so we continue to do it. There is something about seeing the progress and a beautiful end result when you are all done with a job. Building fence to us is more like an art. On every job we invest in more knowledge, skills, and new ways of doing things. Our biggest investment is using the time to show our kids the skills, organizing, and hard work that it takes to make a living. Any chance we get, the kids go to work with us and help with what they can. Mostly cleaning up, picking up welding rod ends and small pipe ends. Once they are bigger we will teach them how to cope pipe and weld, but for now we will let them be little.

Most of all we would like to leave behind a legacy for our families and fencing is what we are good at. Super Fencer Hat Company is something we can easily pass down to our children one day as long as they meet the criteria of a Super Fencer!
